Together with Brutal Brewing Berghs got the assignment to come up with new concepts for different kinds of beer. I was requested to do a concept for a classic ale. I created a pun from the word Hail in a celabration to "nothing". Think about it. If nothing wasn’t here to keep things apart, everything would be one big, stressfull, balled up, messy thing. Probably boring too. Which is why pausing to enjoy nothing is a very good thing. With Hale to Nothing, of course.

So my solution to give nothing the honor it deserves was to make it a figure wich gives negative expressions a positive ring.

In a project called "Brand the band", me and Erik Friberg got the assignment to helt a struggling band. The band in question was nonetheless The Mudders who's main concern was the struggle against, what seemed to be, themeselves. As the original creator of the music genre Heavy Pop they had encountered several copycats who were trying to steal their shine.

Our plan was to relaunch the band as "the real The Mudders" and at the same time release a documentary that tells their story. We did a redesign of their logo and symbol. The idea behind the symbol is to have it in very many different versions so it gives the feeling of constant progress and developing.

We also made a moving backdrop and a template to make it easy to change the moving material and it's made to loop seamlessly.

A school assignment on how Sonys runner-up to PS3 could look like. I choose to target a slightly older gamer with some taste and money to spend on his/hers gaming habits. I choose to go with the idea that Sony somewhere stands for a lot of tradition in what they do combined with a taste of something modern.

The logo is a play on words in many different levels. First off we have the word case wich can mean a simple box, it can be a case in form of a shell but it can also be a case seen as an assignment. The number 8 stands for the 8th generation of videogames. The other level of word play in the logo is more figuratively. The logo becomes the image of a briefcase with the bend dash wich also tells the eye that you should continue to read the second half of the word upside down. Doing so the letter "e" on top of the letter "c" suddenly becomes the number 8.

<img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/logoblack.jpg" width="600" height="472" width_o="600" height_o="472" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/logoblack_o.jpg" data-mid="15176194" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/logowhite.jpg" width="600" height="472" width_o="600" height_o="472" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/logowhite_o.jpg" data-mid="15176195" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/symbolblack.jpg" width="600" height="472" width_o="600" height_o="472" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/symbolblack_o.jpg" data-mid="15176196" border="0" align="left"/>

The idea is to communicate four different genres with four different colors and image manners of classical masterpieces. The warm red is for action games and are combined with action filled paintings. Pink is for party, blue for family and green for adventure and puzzle-games. Through the whole communication the clash between the classical and new is in the focus and all the copy follows the same reading formula as the logo.

<img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/action1.jpg" width="548" height="350" width_o="548" height_o="350" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/action1_o.jpg" data-mid="15176316" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/aventyr.jpg" width="581" height="430" width_o="581" height_o="430" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/aventyr_o.jpg" data-mid="15176317" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/familje_600.jpg" width="600" height="495" width_o="615" height_o="508" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/familje_o.jpg" data-mid="15176319" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/party_600.jpg" width="600" height="391" width_o="665" height_o="434" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/party_o.jpg" data-mid="15176320" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/action_text_600.jpg" width="600" height="381" width_o="614" height_o="390" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/action_text_o.jpg" data-mid="15176315" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/familje_text.jpg" width="569" height="357" width_o="569" height_o="357" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/familje_text_o.jpg" data-mid="15176318" border="0" align="left"/>

For the actual game console I choose to go more with the meaning of case as an assignment making the console a briefcase with some odd proportions. The add-ons for the console and the manual is presented in a way that gives the feeling of a mission but using the same copy manners to keep it all together.

<img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/tidningscover.jpg" width="600" height="811" width_o="600" height_o="811" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/tidningscover_o.jpg" data-mid="15176604" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/tillbehorsforp2_600.jpg" width="600" height="533" width_o="854" height_o="760" src_o="http://payload33.cargocollective.com/1/4/137693/2979500/tillbehorsforp2_o.jpg" data-mid="15176606" border="0" align="left"/>

And finally, the interface and how it could look when you start up the console.

Berghs project SPICE (wich stands for sustainability in the world of packaging) 2011 was a collaboration between Billerud, Nine, and Kosta Boda/Orrefors. Our assignment was to come up with a new kind of gift box that could work for both Kosta Boda and Orrefors. Together with Anna Blomberg, Anna Sandahl, Emelie Sandahl and Erik Söderberg we developed the concept "Oregel". The point of the concept was to do a box wich has no 90° angels making it look different from ever angel you look at the box and therefor giving the box a new life in every way you look at it.

In our work with the course Motion Design at Berghs we got a brief from the clothes retail company Weekday. They wanted suggestions for a moving logo and a idea for a possible app that could represent weekday and their brand values. In group with Anna Blomberg, Linnea Sigurdson and Tove Larris we took on the challenge. Our moving logo was based on the concept of "the line". The line can be found in a lot of things that weekday stands for. The line is the journey they,ve made from the first small shop out into the world, the line can be found in patterns and architecture and in the seams of the clothes.

In the idea for the app we continued our concept and created a snake-app with some weekday-twists
